Review Steelseries Sensei

Steelseries Sensei, looking at the brand SteelSeries, you know that it is high quality gaming gear equipment. Steelseries works seriously on the gaming products only. Working side-by-side with world gaming champions to create a gaming mouse. This mouse has been tested over and over by all the masters from Counterstrike 1.6, Starcraft 2, HoN, Doom, Warcraft 3, LoL and last but not least DotA. The main purpose of this mouse is to maximize the skill and fulfilling the needs of the champion.

Now, we are done with mesmerizing story from the brochure, What we need is the proof. Lets take a look one by one about this SteelSeries Sensei.
All the Steelseries box looks alike, it is designed to proof you that this product is created for professional gamer and not just a low-end one.

It reminded me of Silver Surfer (on Fantastic Four) meet GABAN (old super hero movie) when I see the design. Covered in Chrome Steelseries Logo with Black color makes the look of Steelseries more like Robot Futuristic.  Gold plated and Braided Cable are must for Steelseries, since the Razer team always thinking about the worst-case on playing game. When we look at it, we know right away that the size and shape looks like SteelSeries Xai. If we change the Chrome color with Black and in unplug to the computer, it is very hard and confusing for us to differentiate with Xai.

After we plug in the computer, you can see right away the light on the bottom of the LCD written STEELSERIES (the default setting). Also, it lights up the orange LED on the scrolling, the Optical LED and the SteelSeries Logo. There are too many LED lights and all of them are changed-able.

In the weight, Sensei is much heavy than XAI. As my hand touching it, I felt the comfortable of the Mouse. Eventough it is not ergonomic design, its ambidextrous is very comfortable in my right hand. As I moved the mouse, than I felt its minus points; the 2 buttons on the right side (activate the “Page up and Down”), “accidently” being clicked everytime by my ring-finger. But then I thought, I just need to accustom to it

I have not see the wild-side of Sensei, therefore I opened up the driver profile, but what I got was “though” customization. Eventough Sensei provide the presetting from Counterstrike and Starcraft Masters, the setting of this mouse is much less user-friendly.

It would be a waste when you play a game in 400 dpi, so I changed it into 11400 dpi. Don’t be surprised since this Sensei is equipped with 32 bit processor equal to Pentium 75, which able to double the 5700dpi. Make a bit tuning on Windows Acceleration by putting it on the Second bar, you can controlling the mouse nicely and un-wild running around. Running smoothly in the highest dpi without any jitter and skipping with having the Hard-surface mouse like Steelseries 4HD.

Gold Plated USB cable is a must for Gaming Gear

As I said before, this is a very sophisticated mouse every sell. The Steelseries team names this features EXACT. For examples we have Angel Snapping for drawing a straight line, Exactlift to adjust your lift-distance, Exactaim to slow-down the movement customade to your hand movement too, Excataccel the opposite side of Exactaim that make mouse moving faster, and Exactsense that give us the freedom to choose dpi from 1 to 5700 (you can put it 1, 358 or 5699 dpi).

It is great isn’t it? When you go to the Gamenet, you Noneed to have your driver, you just need to turn your mouse around and make a tweak on the LCD so that adjustable to your gamenet computer. For Macro user, you will have lots of fun with this mouse because of its complexity and the number of buttons.
On the numbers of test on Mousepad 4HD, there has been a bit scratch on Sensei’s Mousefeet; therefore you need to prepare yourself for extra money to change the Mousefeet. The hardsurface will “eat” your Sensei’s Mousefeet even faster, so I tried using the SteelSeries QCK mass Soft Surface. I felt the changing on its lift-distance everytime I lifted the mouse. So I went to Exactlift and made it smaller to 3%, but it still have problem. This brings to the decaying of its Speed-performance and Accuracy.

Overall, it performs very good. Smoothly aimed but not slow and un-responsive. It is nicely designed for 3 different types of grabbing and ambidextrous. For those who have either small or big hands, will found no problem. In my opinion, may be this is the most advanced mouse every sold at this moment.

Pros :
- Most Sophisticated mouse, macro, light, custom name it!
- Very comfortable with PLAM, CLAW or FINGER grabber.
- Ambidextrous, easy to use for left-handed.

- You don’t need any driver when you play in the gamenet, just turn Sensei around and do the setting from the LCD.

Cons :
-
Very complicated
-
For button 6 and 7 on the right side is very annoying (for right-handed user)
-
You will feel the heat after using it too long.
-
No Weight Adjustment

Review HP Deskjet 1050

The story started with the needs of buying a cheap printer for my store. I saw the HP D1000’s advertisement that was on sale for Ro. 260,000 and I would like to retire my old printer HP 3740. When I was in the computer store, I was disappointed since HP D1000 has been sold out. I was being offered the clerk CANON for Rp. 390,000 and I thought of buying it. When I was about pulling out my cash, I say this all-in-one HP Deskjet 1050 and I asked the price to the clerk. He said it is Rp. 470,000. I was shocked since a printer that has capability of scanning and making copies is sold quite cheap. So I bought this HP Deskjet 1050 instead of CANON. After getting home, I was impatient to try it on.
Comparing the size with my old HP Deskjet 3740, the HP Deskjet 1050 is bigger. But it is ok since there’s a scanner inside the unit.
After opened the box, these are the contents (see the top picture): the printer itself, cable adaptor, Printer cable, Cartridge 802 black, cartridge 802 color, CD driver, bag, quickstart guide, manual, and warranty card.
Not bad to have a case bag! Who knows that one day we need to carry this light and carryable printer for special occasion.

After removing some tapes, this is how it looks. Very nice isn’t it?
This is how the scanner looks.
The back part. Very simple but crystal clear function.
You don’t need to open the manual book to put on these two cables.
The pair of 802 cartridge Black and Color.
After setting all up, it is set and ready to go!

Easy to install, you just need to put the Driver CD in and put AUTORUN. Just follow the step by step installation process and turn on the printer when asked. Wait for a few moment, and ready to use.
Because of my “want-to-try” I go with the photocopy feature, I put the A4 paper in the slot and copied the printer brochure in color by pressing the three button color. The process was quite quick but kinda noisy just like the usual copied-machine. It took 15 seconds more or less to finish copying. And then I tried to pull out the USB cable that connected to my computer, then I print the other side using black color, and the printing process was quicker. The Deskjet 1050 was amazed me since it can print out even though I pulled out the cable. it is really handy and portable when we want to use it as small-copying-machine. The copy result was just look like the picture above. Please have it zoom.
Then, I got more curious to try to scan something. I ran the launcher and it is quite easy and obvious.
Wow, even HP prepared every format available for printing and the interface is really easy.
This is the result of 200 dpi color scanner. Zoom more to see the result.
Because of the result was not satisfied me, I tried using the 1200 dpi and the result was amazing.
HP also gives me a free software to make a photo album. You just need to download the available link, and easy to use too.

Come across my mind that this cheap print would kill me when I am going to buy the cartridge. It felt like a horror movie crossing my mind couple of times about how much should I spend to replace the cartridge, will the price the same as the printer price? Then, I opened www.bhineka.com to find information about cartridge 802. Another shocking things that I found that the 802 black cartridge cost me only Rp. 61.000 and the color one only Rp. 93.000. it relieved me since it is much more lesser than what I’ve been imagining before. But, I also making sure with other website and the result is quite the same.

I felt worry-free and satisfied because the printing quality is good, and cartridge is cheap. I felt like cheap price and worth to buy.

Eventhough the printing photo and colorful quality are not superior, but it is very worth to buy this; because you not only have printer and scanner but also portable photocopy machine. I really recommended this product who would like to have all-in-one printer for your house.

I hope this review will help you –evoers.

Razer Mouse Bungee Review (HOT & NEW)

After talking about Mouse-Cable-management from ROCCAT Apuri, Laopan has a chance to review the same type of product made by Razer. Razer calls it Razer Mouse Bungee. The main function is to help those of you who feel that your mouse-cable is banging on the wall or there’s a feeling of being pulled to the side since the cable is hanging. Another function would be to maintain your mouse cable since there would be less frictions with the corner of the table.

Differ from the Apuri that provides you with USB self-powered-Hub, blinking lights, and manly look, Razer Mouse Bungee looks so simple, tiny, and no light. You are able to install it in an angle or straight. Because of the weight is so light, you can’t expect the rubber grip to stay on the table. Sometimes when you move the mouse too fast, this Mouse Bungee will move also. The feel-wireless is nicely designed, especially on the neck that uses flexible springs (even though less flexible than Apuri).

Install it in an angle? No problem!

Black Piano Finishing with the Razer Marking in the middle.
Made out of painted stick springs helps you with the rush problem.

Very flexible!!
Overall, this IDR 210,000 product function pretty good, even though I think it is quite over-price and too light. But at least it is not that bad. It is suitable to be brought for Gamenet clan war since it is light, tiny and made out of strong material.
Summary:
Pros:
  • Light, Simple and Strong in Spring
  • Feels like having wireless mouse.
Cons:
  • Overpriced there is an alternative product that is cheaper with the same quality and function.
  • When you move your mouse fast enough, sometimes the Mouse Bungee will also move.

Tips n Tricks : Three ways to grab your mouse

Have you ever feel that your friends reference you to buy this or that mouse and turn out you don’t feel the comfy with it? Have you ever feel that the mouse that you buy easily broken or being replaced or downgraded from steelseries sensei to buffalo type of brand? Well, you folks don’t need to take a harsh decision first for selling or downgrading it first. You need to know how you grab your mouse.
Practically, there are three ways to grab a mouse:

1. Palm Grip

Palm grip holds the mouse using all surface of your hand and moving up-down left-right with your most part of your arm. If you are the person with this grip, you are most likely choosing the ergonomic design type of mouse, since the design is suitable and very comfy when you grab it with the surface of your palm.

Most people prefer the Palm grip since it is less fatigue when you play a game for long time. Usually the mouse with the palm grip design has superiority in speed but it needs a wider mousepad.

Best Recommended Mouse : Razer Deathadder, Ozone Radon 5k, Mionix Naos 5000

2. Claw Grip

The difference between claw-grip and palm grip would be the position of your fingers (making claw) The claw grip is used when you need to press accurately. Usually users have a hard time using this type of grip since your fingers could easily get tired. And also most of the ergonomic mouse is not designed for claw grip.

Best Recommended Mouse : Razer Lachesis, Logitech G9X, Ttesports Black

3. Fingertips Grip

This grip is very different than the previous two. You hold the mouse with only 4 fingers. The user of this type of grip is usually very aggressive, quick and precise. It needs less mousepad space since you use your wrist to move the mouse. When you use this grip, you would be most likely to lift your mouse over and over.

The fingertips grip is easy to learn but hard to master, especially when you use the ergonomic type of mouse (example DeathAdder). The fingertips grip needs the shortest lift-distance it can get since you will lift it more often. But you need to take a note that you will make your fingers exercising twice harder than the palm or claw grip.
Best Recommended Mouse : Logitech G9X, Steelseries Xai, Steelseries Kinzu V2 Pro

Hopefully this article helps you identify your grip’s style so you can choose the best mouse.
